Fitness Boot Camp-Day 1
I'm off to a good start, having lost 18 lbs. since the beginning of June! Hooray! I have been watching what I eat and using My Fitness Pal to record my diet and exercise. I haven't done very well in the exercise department, and was considering joining Gold's Gym since my current gym is just too expensive. But then yesterday I saw an ad on KSL for a Fitness Boot Camp for $79, and I signed up! Today was the first day...at 6 am!
Warm up consisted of a few stretches with a rubber band. Not too hard! Then we progressed to kind of a push up/kick out routine, with each rep getting harder! I made it to 12, which was pretty good for my first day!
Next it was time to work the arms and upper body. I thought I had decent arm strength, but I was wrong! I had an empty barbell, which still weighed a ton! I only made it to rep level six on this one.
Then came the killer....run around the building (.3 mile), I mostly walked it. Then jump rope...he asked for 75....I made it to 55. Then he told me to run around the building again! I about died and said there was no way I could. He said to do it, even if I had to walk the whole way, which I did.
When I got home at 7:30, I went back to bed! I have felt pretty good today, but for some reason I think tomorrow and the next day will be worse! But it will be all be worth it. I am already feeling stronger and more empowered.
